5 Tips for Troubleshooting TikTok Problems

TikTok is the latest video application which is a platform for short video creation and sharing. The application is already more popular than Instagram and Snapchat, and the total number of users is increasing day by day.

However, some TikTok users often experience problems when using this application, whether it's when they want to view videos or when downloading TikTok videos, usually this often happens on Android devices. In this article, the admin has included 5 tips for troubleshooting TikTok problems.

1. Check If TikTok Is Down

If you are having problems with TikTok, the first step to take is to check if the app is down. You can check your TikTok status on IsDownStatus. IsDownStatus is a useful site to check real-time web status.

You can also go to the TikTok website and see if you can access it there. If so, it means there is something wrong with the device or Internet connection.

2. Reset Network Settings

If there are no issues with the app showing on IsDownStatus and the TikTok website is accessible, you may need to check your network settings. To reset network settings, follow these steps:

* Go to Settings and tap General.

* Select Reset at the end of your phone or tablet's menu list, then enter your passcode if prompted to do so.

* Tap Reset Network Settings (or reset all settings), then confirm to clear data and network settings by tapping Reset Network Settings again.

3. Delete And Reinstall TikTok

If you can't load the app, try deleting and reinstalling your TikTok app. To do this, follow the instructions below:

* Open the Settings menu on your cellphone.

* Open Application Manager or Apps, depending on your phone's operating system.

* On iOS devices: Tap the TikTok app icon under Installed Apps, then tap Delete App.

* On an Android phone or tablet: Scroll down from the top of the screen and tap Select All apps > Tap TikTok under Apps & notifications (or App Info). Tap Force Stop, then tap Uninstall Updates on the next screen (if available) before tapping Uninstall to confirm the removal of all updates related to this app.

4. Make sure the TikTok application is updated

To update TikTok, open the App Store on your other iPhone or iPad. Tap Updates at the top of the screen to download the latest updates for all the apps that need updating.

On Android devices, navigate to Settings > System > Apps & Notifications > Google Play Store, then tap Auto-update apps to enable automatic updates when they become available, so you don't miss out on important new features in future versions of apps like TikTok.

5. Clear App Data

You should clear app data only if you need to reset the app. It will delete all the information you have stored, including account information. So make sure you already have a backup of the data that will be deleted.

Clearing app data can fix any issues with the app not working properly, but it will also delete all posts and videos from TikTok. If this is something you don't want to give up, I suggest trying some of the other tips first!

Conclusion

While most of the time, the tips above should be able to solve your TikTok problem, sometimes you may need to report a problem with TikTok support. In this case, open the TikTok feedback form and create a new ticket for yourself.
