Give Router Identity
Many of us still ignore these basic MikroTik settings. Giving an identity for the router is useful so that we don't get confused when we have many routers that we have configured, so it's a good idea to name each one to make it easier. To give your router an identity, you can go to the System > Identity menu, then change your router name. Or you can use the CLI using the command system identity set name = Router-to-1

Doing Time Setting
Setting the time (hour/date/month/year) on the Mikrotik Router is very necessary when you have implemented rules based on time parameters, where the rule is configured to run at a certain time. For example schedulers. Setting the time on the Mikrotik Router can be done on the menu System> Clock. By default the time on the Mikrotik Router shows 00:00:00 on Jan/02/1970. Time adjustments must be made on the router.
Doing MikroTik Timing
Another alternative is to use the NTP (Network Time Protocol) service which allows the router to synchronize time with other devices on the network. Mikrotik can function as a NTP server or NTP client or both simultaneously. To use the NTP Client, you can go to the System > SNTP Client menu, then check the enable parameter and select unicast mode, then to fill in the NTP Server parameters, you can search the internet, for example: id.pool.ntp.org, ntp.nasa.gov, etc. . If you have filled it out, then click apply.
